Ever since the late substitution at Bournemouth Townsend has been running himself into the ground, he was the only one who had fight in him against Sunderland when the match was decided after 45 minutes. Today Townsend, again, was our best player, really frustrating to know that up until Bournemouth he wasn't giving his best efforts time in and time out.

As for Jason Puncheon today he was a total ball-stopper, every touch he had wound up going to Stoke and he just simply not good enough and lacking confidence to trot out their time and time again.

Its looking dire but I think we did ok today, i know that's been said a lot around this board after losses to Chelsea and Everton in a similar manner.

I'm betting Sakho and Mandanda are fit for Middlesbrough in two weeks and hopefully some good training and drilling will help us collect 3 points.

I think Joel Ward needs to be replaced as well, he's the best looking boy on the field and i'm sure the Crystals will miss him but he looks like a beaten dog out there and plays soft. I'm guessing Tomkins will move to right back against Boro'.

Awful cross to no one in the first half. Ran down the wings with little end product, s*** pass instead of having a shot in the box plus an awful free kick instead of trying to get a head on it.

Was a little worrying that we only created one shot on target. First half was an obvious attempt to shore up and keep it tight, which worked. Came out for the second more positive and was caught with there only attempt in the second half.
On a different note, what was Ward doing picking the ball up from our throw in??? Lack of concentration! Surely he must have seen the throw had taken place?!
