What absolute nonsense!
I would've used the word 'bollocks' but that's considered rude these days.
Apparently.

Always liked Dougie, problem is he has achieved absolutely nothing in Football Management. Walking out on us as he did, and the fact he has done nothing since, his CV is rather lacking. Best thing he can do is take on a lower ranked team or come into Palace as a coach and slowly work his way back. On that basis I would welcome him back.

He got greedy, didnt show us any loyalty at all, some will say so what? we all would go for the bigger bucks wouldnt we? Thing is, if he did run the ship again,,and we did well, whos to say a bigger offer wouldnt come his way again, as it surely would, and he would walk again? leopard , spots?

What's Freedman done since? Where are his credentials? He's failed hasn't he, so why bring him in? At least have a little bit of ambition and look beyond ex-Palace players, because it's such an outdated outlook. There's too much at stake for clubs these days, and Parrish should have known that before appointing Pardew. He hasn't exactly covered himself in glory with Warnock or Allardyce either though has he, so maybe Steve should be having a good hard look at his own position when the dust finally settles at the end of this God awful season.

What is it with you guys and your obsession with EX players
Its not the manager
Its the players !!!
If this squad cant get above the bottom three then JOSE and PEP together couldnt get them out !!!

Now as much my reply was purely hypothetical, why would we be in League 1, considering Dougie took us up?

He did what?
So far as a manager his achievements are he once had a dozen game winning streak. Honestly can't remember the exact figures.
In my top 3 favourite ever players, but not the man to take over, sorry.

This was my opinion until the fat prat took over. But I'd still take him if it meant Allardyce gone

With respect there is NO need for such language.

Deplored him for leaving.
Could we not have a last desperate roll of the dice?
Give him a four month contract and a chance to redeem himself
Can't do any worse...

Might get more out of Wilf, Delaney, Ward...players he brought in.

Spoiler alert: NOT happening. The way he walked out on us 5 years ago still leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, and look what's happened to Bolton. He'd take us down faster than a lead balloon if you got your wish.

Couldn't he come back as a player? His mobility wouldn't come amiss.

(Stanley Matthews played until he was 50)
