35 points will be enough this year. The bottom six teams all have games against each other which will cancel one of those teams each game ( two teams cannot both win the same game!!!) if they draw it will be even better!! also all of the bottom six have at least two games against the top six

Think he is talking about Benteke, Townsend, Tomkins and Mandanda and Cabaye up to a point. They were supposed to launch us to 'the next level'. No one told them the next level meant up not down.

Really don't think anyone will need anything near 40pts this season (thankfully) There are 5 or 6 teaams wilth similar points totals at the bottom. So far Palace has performed just about the worst of any of them. If the 'Allardyce effect' does begin to kick in, and we begin to must clean sheets and draws, we will begin to inch our way up the table. We also have 4 new good players to throw into the mix, hwihc should also begin to make a difference. Is there a realistic chance thta Palace will go down? Of course there is, especially if current form continues it will be a certainty.

Well we have at present 19 points and we need to win at least 6 more games and starting at Stoke.

Mathematically, yes of course we can stay up, as can all the six bottom clubs. But, realistically, will we? After Saturday, I'm afraid I have grave doubts that that group of players can muster the necessary physical and emotional effort to achieve it. I really hope I'm wrong because relegation would be a grevious blow to all the progress made since administration and to the important plans for vital ground and infrastructure improvements. I hope that last Saturday will be absolute rock bottom and that Sam Allardyce can start changing things for the better. I am also hopeful that our four new signings will have a hugely positive effect. But, being realistic, it's a massive challenge to turn round 13+ months of steadily declining form into top half of the table form for our remaining 14 games.

we won't get 40 points. so it's a case of hoping 34/35 is enough.

I come to think of something? Didn`t it all start to go wrong once the investors came in? I guess we had almost the same back four in december 2015??? And if so they should know how to get back to that level??

Plenty of things but not them. Coincidental.
