After 55 years of supporting Palace, I have never seen our team with their heads down and the heart and soul drained out of them.We need to get behind them, and show them what this club means to us, and maybe some of that will rub off on to them. I think we need to make changes as some of the players need to be taken out of the firing line, Jules needs to be in between the posts, Delaney needs a rest, so does Punch as all he does is pass sideways or backwards. We need to play Remy up front with Benteke as he is the target man with no support so its a waste ofvtime to keep sending the ball up to him to head on to no one. With any luck the new players will be ok for next week, and we can get our heart and soul back. So lets treat yesterdays game as a book - turn the page and start a new chapter and move on. Sorry for the long post but this is how I feel, and one more thing... remember we are the heart and soul of this club so lets get behind them, BE LOUD BE PROUD BE PALACE...COYP.

Believe our heart was last seen in the back pocket of a gray haired man with an ego the size of the Holmesdale End

But it's hurting so much now I feel because we know we have players that should not be in this position. Sam has his work cut out finding the right plan perhaps the players have had so many changes of tactics and positions they have lost the plot. Like Mcarthur out wide at the start yesterday what's that all about, is it harmless experimenting or desperate and soul destroying. When Dougie was manager we had a spell where we were defensive and rubbish and he looked like he would be getting the boot then we suddenly kicked on had a go and the rest is recent history. That type of change could occur I suppose, I live in hope

I'm a season ticket holder and drive a 100 mile round trip every match to see the Palace. Like you I've followed the club since the sixties and have seen many wretched performances and relegations - but I've never felt like this. In the last 6 months, the club has lost its DNA. Two Americans have bought a chunk of the club yet it means nothing to them emotionally; we've splashed absurd amounts of money on prima donna players and paid them obscene wages even though they clearly lack any commitment to the club; and after recruiting a manager who played for the club himself and was committed to the chairman's long-term strategy, we panicked, sacked him, and brought in someone with a dubious ethical past who only cares about his own reputation of never having been relegated. We have gone badly wrong and Parish must be kicking himself. The home performances against Swansea and Sunderland suggest something very wrong at the heart of the club. God knows how long it will take to put things right again - and at what cost. Burnley, Bournemouth, etc show you can play with a smile on your face without splurging cash like a poor man's Man City. Whether or not we avoid relegation, we'll need a huge clear-out come the summer (in the board room and the dugout as well as on the pitch). We need to rediscover our identity.
