I posted yesterday that my main emotion at final whistle yesterday was one of sadness. It good to read similar sentiments expressed on this thread after some of the - understandable - fury and abuse expressed by many yesterday. We can only hope that somehow the manager and players can recover, reform and bounce back from his low point.

None of this can hurt like it did when I was a little boy and Malcolm Allison was manager.

Fingers crossed it's always darkest before the dawn. Everyone who's bought a ticket has a right to boo but in doing so they're making our own stadium a very difficult place to play in for our own players. Will it make them try harder or be more fearful? Time will tell. A lot riding on the unused signings. I'm pretty sure we've won 4 Premier League home games in the last 13 months. One a completely meaningless end of season game against Stoke. That's with constant support and it doesn't seem to be working. Maybe this reaction be the wake up call some of them need to finally start putting the graft in?

I know that I am stating the obvious but please indulge me as it makes me feel better just get my thoughts written down after yesterday. There is a definitive pattern to our football set up. The top six are financially untouchable and will always be the only real contestants for the title. Last year was a wonderful one-off by Leicester but even they lost one of their best players to Chelsea even after being crowned champions. Attachment: url.htm (0.46Kb)

This thread is a pity party. We are good enough. Much better than Sunderland in terms of ability and should be around tenth. These players are disgraceful pussies. Cowards. They gave in to fear. This game is about thousands of supporters escaping their dreary lives to enjoy success through their heroes on the playing field. And these gladiators get VERY WELL PAID to feed the fantasy. We are traveling and paying to see Russell Crowe and the Carthinian hoardes defeat Skippio Africanus's Roman soldiers against the odds. This part of the movie's narrative is about escaping relegation. But we get to watch COWARDS. Hennessey should had EXPLODED onto that first cross and PUNCHED THE F#CK out of that ball. And he's not the only one to criticise, but he set the tone: a cowardly, limp-wristed, pussy attempt to clear the ball that gave me the impression he was afraid of hurting himself. C O W A R D S. AlL of them. Not worthy of my time and support. So stop this faggot pussy pity party and call a spade a spade: their COWARDS, PUSSIES, L O S E R S. This cuts through all the cr*p,and says it all. We,as a tribe, put forward our best warriors, and they were humiliated. Our chiefs and warriors are now the laughing stock of the country. And I don't like that.
