I dont really understand the logic of taking a player on loan who has not been playing and is not fit to play immediately, Adebayor also had a fitness coach but it would seen that means little. We need our newcomers playing asap not missing critical games now

That's why he was available .... because he was surplus to requirements. Players will be fit but not fully match fit. Unfortunately, that takes time to become fully effective and reduce the risk of injury to the player.

With 15 games to go (at the time of signing), if he can't play every minute in every game then we are best off taking a French international centre-half and playing Martin Kelly.

In my opinion, if he's fit enough for the bench, he's fit enough too play! If for example dann goes down injured 10 minutes in, would he not have brought sakho on then? Lousy excuse, just didn't want too change a 'winning' team...

Should have come on 2H. Game was lost and would have got match fitness up. Yeah maybe we ship another goal, but perhaps worth it for Stoke.

All this talk of clean sheets is nonsense. If we get 14 0-0 draws we are down. So completely contrary to our new belief under SA our only hope is out and out attack. It was painfully obvious yesterday that our players are alien to SA style. The first half was worse than watching paint dry. Our tactics if there were any were terrible. It's the worse we have ever seen our team play. The trouble is we are not planning to attack and if we don't then we are down. What a bloooody mess.

Agree, I think he would have come on if there had been another sub to use. We'd already used Ledley for Cabaye but Remy and Townsend introduced a bit of spark to the side. Not sure why Puncheon can't hit a ball upfield anymore but that's for someone else to explain.

To play centre half does require a player to be super fit. I suspect Sam will play him after the 2 week break by which time he will be used to playing with those around him. Who do you drop to make way? Delaney for me is the defensive organiser - not sure if Sakho can do that side of the job
