He is only projecting the feelings of the adults he lives with no doubt. Personally I would want the easiest tie possible to give the best chance of progressing to the next round.

They'll sell out their ticket allocation which will be bigger than their typical home crowds, plus have a reasonable chance of getting on TV (and earning rights). It also can gear up a lot of lapsed fans back to the games again. And to top it all off, a giant killing does wonders for your home crowds. Beat a top team, and you're on TV next round.
