OK, so flooding is becoming more regular and extreme. As an ?Environmental Consultant I noted some years ago the Environmental Agency (EA) noted their 'Flooding Risk Maps' were out-of-date. These maps have not been updated. Further hindrances to predictions have been cause by the excessive use of concrete hard standing for new developments. What further annoys me is that the Environmental Agency "flood defences" are politically orientated.

Very interesting thoughts, what would your long term strategy be to prevent flooding of existing residential areas?
