I'm not being funny but that is really out of order. 130mph isn't safe, no matter where you are or how quiet the road is. You should have been done.

I don't know you personally and you are probably a top bloke, but that is just wrong. 130mph is meant to be enough to get you disqualified from driving, let alone some poxy fine. Although I accept given your career, that would constitute a potentially very harsh punishment.

Fair enough I know it was wrong, but on 3 lane section of the A1 about 3.00 am,just trying to get back to London.
And realise I could have been banned.

Those pesky foreign germans have the right idea on their autobahns. No speed limit, just drive at a speed that is safe for the amount of traffic and conditions - Also driving whilst listening to gabba is banned in Finland as it was found to cause listeners to drive too fast.

And take their hands off the wheel making shapes.

Probably allowed in Nokia offices before they ignored smart phone technology. Good for revision as well?

When i visited England last, for the Wembley semi against Watford, i rented a car and hit the M24/M1 to Milton Keynes. I remember the variable speed limits went as low as 45 mph, yet most cars were doing 60+ through it.
So when do you get the ticket then ? if you have a smart highway and your doing 15 over the limit, shouldnt it be ticketing everyone ?
Living in Miami and regularly doing 90 without fear of being pulled over, it was rather frustrating to sit there at 55.

Well according to the speed awareness course, the UK has the best record in Europe (and among the very best in the world) for safety on motorways, so I'll stick with the current system.

I don't know about speed cameras for varying speeds on motorways for roadworks or tailbacks etc and unlikely there's police driving there either.

Speed awareness course. 2 things that are highly dangerous I'll remember.

1. Tailgating. On roads or motorways.

2. Stopping in front of a crash/pile up on the motorway. I think a man and maybe others in the car died doing this in that big fog caused incident in the West Country.

What new thing on the road annoys me these days is when you're trying to pull out of a side turning or similar and someone lets you do it. Only you don't know they're letting you do it because they don't flash their lights which I know isn't a road law but more specifically re my gripe, they drive at their current speed or more right up to your car and then do an instant brake. What's the point? What are they trying to prove? Have they never driven a car before 2015 with superb technology and don't appreciate we don't know what's going on with them?

And too many tw&t a in Range Rovers they have no concept the size it is and it's you're fault they're onto your half of the road. Feck off and get a smart car Tabatha.

Local farm employees bombing about in farmland Land Rovers and skidding to stop. Complete morons. Saw one this week skidding behind a vehicle in a built up area. Where the feck did he think he was going to go apart from into the back of vehicle in front? Had a run in with one doing similar in traffic on the A25 between Oxted and M25. Looked behind and got out after he kept doing it and he s*** himself, held back and pulled over the w&nker.

i really do not care about motorways. But anybody who speeds on roads where kids play, deserves their head kicked in.

Parents who let their kids play near a road should also have their license taken away or a huge fine if they don't drive.
