Gotta love football fans...

Happily slag a player off mercilessly on social media (and the pitch itself) when they don't perform to the absolute highest standard and, a mere heartbeat later, demand loyalty & respect from the former object of their derision & abuse.

Am I the only one who can see the pathos oozing all over this scenario?

Okay, players COULD just rise above it. But is that a realistic expectation given that human nature is, on averge, the same for both players and fans?

Many posts on here questioning Yala's performance(s).

To receive good Karma, you have to distribute it first. Any other expectation is simply unrealistic.

I guess if Bolasie had scored as many as AJ he'd be forgiven anything on here, but that's not the point really... Loyalty is a two-way street.

I think maybe it would endear him to the current Everton fans showing that he was celebrating a win despite it being against a club he clearly cares for. I have no issue with him he played for us for a long time did amazing things then earns us a pretty penny with his sale. One of my favourite Palace players of all time.

You're right. I should stop watching the FA Cup once we're knocked out too I suppose. Oh and never follow international games. As for those Spanish and Italian leagues, bring on the Brexit, the sooner I can stop showing an interest in them the better. Champions League how pathetic showing an interest in that too. You're so right, the sooner I restrict myself to eveyrthing Palace, the quicker I can reach your levels of his cynicism. Thank you for showing me the error of my ways.

No problem. Stalking men on social media is just not healthy.
Showing an interest in football matches is normal, so no need to stop,

Must be painful for him as they are better without him.
When he recovers and has lost a yard of pace he'll end up back here I reckon.

Whilst I think we did well getting as much as we did for him, I think he was a) better than an average premiership player and b) sorely missed in our team this season.

Not when you consider we immediately went out and spent 13M on Andros Townsend...

I still miss Bolasie, his unpredictability and the way he would frighten defences has been hugely missed. Townsend must be one of the easiest players to come up against, every f'ing time the same thing, couple of step overs, cut inside, take a shot from outside the box... Plus Bolasie actually looked like he was a good lad, enjoying life and playing the game, which is becoming something of a rarity in modern football. Used to be proud that we had players like that at Palace, bit thin on the ground these days...

I don't see much wrong with this image. I expect he is acknowledging the Everton fans who were singing their stolen song for him during the game. He wants to prove to them that he is a blue, which is fair enough when you consider they are paying his wages, and supporting him through a horrific injury.

I'd be pretty cross with Bolasie if that was his idea!

To say why not, is to miss the point. He hasn't uploaded images like this in the past, not even after their extraordinary result against City.

So, one can assume this is personal and gloating.

And no I don't expect loyalty but when some players believe the decent thing is not even celebrate when they score against an old club, it would be nice to show a little class.

I guess we see the true mark of the man, like another poster said on his last game, he seems to have little respect for the fans

99.9 of players are just mercenaries. They take loads out of the game and give little back. They avoid tax and therefore don't give a s*** about the education or health of the fans or their kids.

When we win we can be happy and that is their sole justification.

But don't expect 99.9 of them to have any consideration for the club or the people who follow it - or people in general.

When they kick the ball well or stop the other lot kicking the ball well let us rejoice. It is a beautiful game but getting eaten from the top and the inside.

We just watch.
