Just seen on BBC South West that Plymouth Argyle were struggling to meet demand for tickets for their Cup replay - they needed to put seating into the Mayflower terracing to get maximum availability for their fans. Given that, according to their rep on TV South West, they were stuck with 45% of the profits from the replay, but 100% of the costs they were struggling to do this, but Liverpool FC stepped up and agreed to waive their 55% from ticket sales so that PAFC could go ahead with the seating. Not often that you can say Good on You to the Scousers, but in this case, well deserved I feel.

Indeed, the right thing to do and good on them. I heard Derek Adams saying that the money, including from the TV, will make up 20% of their income this season. Puts our finances in perspective doesn't it?
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |
