It's lazy to accuse the players of no passion, desire etc. People assume because they get paid stupid money they should just be able to turn it on like a robot. If that was the case you wouldn't really need managers. They are bereft of confidence, possibly unfit, though when you lack confidence your energy levels drop anyway, and I am not sure Sam has them on side yet. Now before everyone jumps down my throat, I didn't expect us to suddenly start winning games but I did think we would start to look a bit more organised. A coupe of fresh additions to the squad will make a difference, whatever your opinion of Allardyce he will be able to still attract decent players with his record.

Man City and Newcastle spring to mind. Both sets of supporters turn out in large numbers when they tumbled down a few leagues. Sheffield Wednesday - always great support too

Also I don't think people really are aware of just how much difference, a small factor like confidence, can affect the difference between two relatively similar teams in terms of skill - and then how quickly that difference turns into being outplayed. When all is said and done, I'd say there isn't much difference in terms of quality between our squad and west hams, and so tiny advantageous differences, have a massive impact. Especially, if like West Ham you've got low confidence, and then score first. We're in trouble, but I don't think the players are lazy, gutless, lacking passion or fight. Their spirits are low, and it looks like the sacking of Pardew has affected them too. At high levels of skill, tiny differences make a massive impact, when the qualities of skill are more or less matched.

Wish people would stop saying we have the best fans in the league as we dont. Not even close. Ok your right, but Selhurst has just been voted 6th best atmosphere, and what have the players delivered at home ? 27 defeats in 2.5 season

Even Macca hasn't being playing well for a long time now. An occasional good performance, but that's about it. Not very effective on Saturday. Hardly surprising when he apparently only had two training sessions prior to the match and after having been out injured for so long. Give him some slack.
