Oh look at that, Captain Bullsh*t is back.

Don't you have a pretend FTSE 100 company to be running?

Silly old sod.

By the way OP. Since you like grammar, I think your choice of the word "Sycophants" is wrong.

If I understand the term, a "sycophant" is someone who flatters someone in a non-genuine way, usually the recipient is someone who is more senior, in a position of authority or is somehow otherwise in a position to grant favour or benefit. Usually the motive is to gain some kind of reward, benefit or other advancement.

My support of AP, SP and the board was completely genuine. Further, my support of SA, SP and the board is also completely genuine now.

There is also no obsequious motive behind my support.

I think the term sycophant was intended to be inflammatory, rather than accurate, but that does render your constant griping of other's grammar rather hollow.

Two 19th century words for sychophant are Lickspittle and fartcatcher

the dignified don't even enter in the game

As a well-known "Old Fart" on this website I can hardly believe this view from another elderly person.

As a "sycophant" what I have to say is that to save the club from oblivion after a decade of the buffoon Jordan is pretty superb for starters.

Four seasons so far in the Premier, an FA Cup Final and not bad performances until our current malaise is not all that shabby?

Even if we go down which is by no means certain yet another season in the top league will be an all-time record (five seasons up).

Not all that appalling really?

Yeah, but apart from saving the club, buying the ground back, buying the training ground, a record equaling 4 seasons in the top flight, a cup final, and some serious investment, what have they done for us?

No sycophancy on this site but there is trust. An unusual commodity in football I know; especially when directed towards the owners of football clubs but Parish has earned that trust by the way his managed the clubs affairs.

I used to work for a bank and knew a lot of people in the insolvency field and I was told that the insolvency team within Lloyds had made the decision to switch the lights off at Palace - from those depths we are now worrying about just being outside the relegation zone in the Premiership. Parish is a huge part of that transformation and people don't quickly forget that.

That is not to say people are uncritical - whether Pardew was allowed to stay too long or the curious lack of action in the last winter transfer. People are still giving SP the benefit of the doubt because he has earned it

Pleasure, glad to be of assistance. I was happy with my use of "someone", but thanks for reciprocating. Much appreciated.

Haha, bang on, I hope that was an adaptation of Monty Python.

Ultimately whether you are pro or anti Allardyce, Pardew, CPFC2010 or anything else, there isn't much worse than a fan gloating over other fans because in their head Palace doing badly furthers their point. Grow up.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...
