If we go down, I won't blame Sam, I won't blame Pardew

I will blame the board. Well some of it will be Pardew, but most of this mess is the board. Everyone demanded Pardew out months before it happened, they ignored the poor displays and the lack of confidence in our players and kept Pardew in. The board should of acted soooooooo much earlier than they did, but no they let Pardew keep destroying the team. Pathetic decision making. This isn't Sam's fault, he came in and has taken over a bunch of lost sheep. They are all so low on confidence, they all seem clueless.

If the board of acted quicker then this mess in our team wouldn't be as bad as it is. The have over paid on Benteke, they got an injury prone player in taking one of our loan spaces (even though I do like Remy). They over paid on Townsend, they let Yannick go to easily.

Before this season I felt the board was making good decisions and I have backed them.

Time for them to step up and put things right. Give Sam the money he wants, and get some half decent players in who want to try and win rather than big names who couldn't give a f*** about the soul of our club...

"but most of this mess is the board".

Sorry but I don't really go for that. I think this is the best board we have had since I can remember being a supporter. Not perfect but dedicated to doing what is right for the club. I think some cracks have started to show. I listened to Steve Parish on HOL Radio and he didn't seem as confident as he normally is but given the league position, I think that is understandable. I still trust this board to keep us up and grow the club, well more than any other board we have had.

The have over paid on Benteke, they got an injury prone player in taking one of our loan spaces (even though I do like Remy).

The signing of Benteke was just what we needed at the time and a good investment. In a team that is playing poorly, he is our top goal scorer and I fully expect at least 15 goals this season and I don't see any reason to think that he can't achieve that. The board would have been slated if that deal had fallen through. Good business for us, showed intent and ambition and that is what we wanted.

They over paid on Townsend, they let Yannick go to easily.

Over paid on townsend, are you serious? That was a great bit of business. An England winger, who was highly rated at that. I grant you we have not seen the best of him at all but that is down to the manager, we know what he can do, he just doesn't do it.

I wish Yannick well, but selling him, for that price was right. He was doing at Everton exactly what he did here. Scared the hell out of defenders but not many goals or assists. Cha Ching, thank you very much for your service Yannick.

As for Remy, even as soon as last season we would have doubted if we could get a player like Remy to join the club. Is there anyone who would argue against getting Remy on loan with an option to buy? (Actually, I'm sure there is on here). I was just as happy to have Remy here as Benteke. Shame he was injured but now he's fit when we need him and hopefully he will be a big part of the rivival, If he can stay fit, he will play and Wilf coming back will be like a new signing, especially if he does well at AFCON. Both Remy and Benteke will benefit from that.

Time for them to step up and put things right. Give Sam the money he wants

You complain about the board spending too much on Benteke and Townsend but then call on them to spend more and give Sam the money he needs. Strange, because from what I can see, spending the cash on players has not been the problem. Benteke, Tompkins, Cabaye, Townsend, Mandanda, Souare and now Schlupp. That does not seem to me to be a board that is affraid of spending money and when I look at that list, I still think, good signings. There have been a couple of horror signings but thats football. On the whole, I'm pleased.

Do you think the board don't give a cr*p. They have millions invested but according to you they are not stepping up.

I hate the results right now, I am glad but sad to see the back of Pardew. If he could have got the results right, I would have still made a change next season but you can't have a record like his and keep your job at a top club.

I don't think we will get much joy until April but I don't think we are going down.

My biggest worry at the moment is that Sam seems a little disinterested in his new job. I hope he gets settled as soon as possible or that will mean problems.

Those that have the longest association with a club are the fans, followed by the board, then the manager and then the players. The board will be around for a long time yet. I can't "blame" anyone. We're a Premier League club and have been for a few seasons.

Rant over..

Should never have sold Jedinak either, he'd be massive in helping get us out of this mess

Can you imagine what he would have done to Andy carroll when he did that ridiculous challenge on Ward!? He would have been straight over and had him up by his shirt. Not one f***ing Palace player on the pitch even went over there! The fight went the day we sold Jedi and we're now an easy touch. Jedi had Carroll in his pocket whenever we went up against West Ham.

Sam is not the man for us Pardew was a better fit but Parish failed to reign him herein lies our predicament. The players individually are not good enough (barring 3 or 4) however as a team we were competitive and played for each other making us a good unit now with the confidence down we need someone who can reinstate that belief.

Steve Parish is well aware that he has made some poor decisions and that his performance has not been good enough - listen to last weeks HOL Radio podcast.

My biggest criticism of him is that he left Pardew in charge for too long. The core spirit that got Palace into the Premier League and kept us over achieving for the first two seasons has long gone. Even stuff like the crap match day announcer and that dreadful pre match light show suggests a shift away from what we were.

If we go down, it will be interesting to see what happens. I can envisage the Americans either wanting to sell their investment or putting pressure on Parish for him to sell his stake as I think they would hold him responsible.

It appears to me that some really don't want to be at the club and feel their talents deserve better.Lack of desire, leading to a lack of team spirit. Perhaps Allardyce now realises he has taken on a much bigger job than he anticipated.

Lets face it, there is only one player who has the care and passion for CPFC as much as us the fans and he is our third choice keeper.
The rest are just blokes being payed to do a job and not doing it very well, they do not give a flying f*** about us or the club as for them it is just a job and nothing else.

36 points could just keep us up. So we need at least 20 points. Run through the remaining games. I got 18-20 if we start winning. Got to be honest, struggling to see it. Sadly and understandably the mood around the club is really low. Our collapse started a year ago and just hasn't changed. What on earth has happened to us and why. Its like we had a spell cast on us that is still a big cloud hanging over us. I just don't get it. Really disappointing.

But most of the mess is the board.
It is not all down to the board. We all thought it was good for the club when the Americans were brought in. I can understand why as Parish and Co could not take the club mutch further.
When Parish was in charge the club held together because of what he had done for the club. The rot set in when the running of the club was widened.
In the second half of last season we got found out the same as Leicester this year. Pardew realised this and new something had to be changed. Money became available through the new investment and the loadsamoneyship. This money was used to try and improve the team. Unfortunately all this new found money from the loadsamoneyship is being eaten up by greedy players and there mega rich agents.
Don't despair eventually the loadsamoneyship will implode and apart from the top 6 teams the playing field will even out and the players will come back down to earth or go to China

I agree with so much of that.

I'd also add that the original 4 had no experience of owning a club. Stating the obvious really but I think it's a point that should be considered.
There's no doubt that Parish has f***ed up a few times along the way. You yourself pointed out the over indulgence with Pardew.
But blimey! Whether we fluke it and stay up or go down, as seems most likely, I'd fancy our chances of bouncing back more under his leadership than that Jordan shyster.
