That's not going to happen. For some reason we're hamstrung even though our net spend was very low in the summer.

FFP. Our non-TV revenue is tiny compared to most other Premier league sides, so we have little wiggle room despite the ridiculous TV money.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Throw loads of money at the problem and if it doesn't work go to the championship with hugh debt and wage bill risking eventual administration - again!
Would rather spend carefully and ensure club survives long term.

Do it, do it ,do it...

We are much more together and interesting club when faced with bailiffs and bankruptcy which we always end up sticking two fingers at then come back stronger.

Fvck it. Let's pay Chinese wages!

I'm probably in the minority here but PL football isn't the 'be all and end all' for me.
If we had more support from the local community regarding relocating (i love Selhurst but times have changed) then i'd probably be more in favour of throwing caution to the wind and going for it. But their not. So i'm not.
Do the best we can given the circumstances but the survival of our club is paramount.

Aren't we seeing that spending a fortune on players is not working and we have not had young players come thru for several years?

I would have a clear-out they may be better not worse for it.

Originally posted by Dan Theolmesdaleroad I hate to say it, but even if Palace do stay up, they don't deserve to. The fans do, but the club doesn't and I seriously doubt it will.

I think it'd be more accurate to say that the TEAM doesn't.

We don't seem to have much threat without Wilf.

Yes, that's fair enough. It's still a great club in many ways with many wonderful people who work very hard in their roles off the pitch, but too often it has been the team itself that has let the side down by performing so far below its potential.

There have been some individual exceptions among the players of course, none more so than Wilf who has been superb this season.

Well they ain't seen nothing yet (half time v Swansea) if they give another gutless/carefree performance at home. We weren't too bad for a while at West Ham. Commentator had it right. West Ham were there for the taking and not doing so, well...

It won't just be shouting towards the tunnel. They need to know this. These last few months will become very uncomfortable for them if they don't step up. SA will make them do so. Just hope it is in time. 2 wins are massive and they are possible.

You obviously don't.

So you too value African players less than others?

Wow.
