Anyone seen this film? saw the other thread about climate change and thought this desrved a thread of its own... talks about the cover up by environmental organisations about climate change and its primary cause... eating meat!!!! Here's an article about it... Believe it or not most people and environmental organisations are in agreement that meat eating is destroying the planet...
Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible God and destroys a visible Nature. Unaware that this Nature he’s destroying is this God he’s worshipping. Hubert Reeves |

Saw it the other week. Convicted and challenged me a lot. Not quite enough to stop eating meat right now, although we'll certainly be cutting back and I can see myself going completely vego one day in the future. SPOILER ALERT:

Hopefully I'm right most environmentalists are vegans now so there's probably at least an element of truth to it... with the technology we have now and the greed for money of massive industries meeting the demand of people who either don't care or don't want to care regardless of what information is given them it's a distinct possiblity. Some people will keep disbelieving until it actually happens. The truth is if we just keep fishing at the rate we are it will happen. We destroyed the dodo and that was an age away from where we are now. Granted its population was miniscule compared to the animals and habitats we are killing now but we didn't have the technology to destroy back then that we do now so what's to say we can't eliminate other animals, fish included. Governments don't seem to care, environmental organisations don't either (according to the film) so it's down to the people, every individual, to decide.
