My current turntable no longer plays records at the correct speed, the songs usually play slightly slower than normal. This problem only appears for records that play at 33RPM. Does anyone have a solution to this? I guess it could be down to an issue with the belt? I'm actually in the market for a new turntable any way...does anyone have any suggestions? My budget is between 200-300. Thanks!

In that price range it's worth looking a rega p1 or a p3. And anything by project really you will need a pre amp with all of these though

Thanks bald. I was actually looking at the Rega RP1. I have the Pioneer A10 Amp. [Link] I'm guessing that will be a good fit for the turntable?

You could pick up a Technics SL1200 or SL1210 for that money and they are a decent turntable.

Or check out ReLoop turntables, they're a similar build quality to the old Technics 1210's & can be nabbed for £150/200 on eBay, lot of deck for small change

While most amplifiers with onboard mm/mc connections will get you going, massive improvements have been made in separate phono stages, such an upgrade in the future will give you incredible results.

Technics 1210s changed my life. And they're solid as f***. None of this belt driven malarky.
