Don't think Parish had much say in it

I am glad I didn't go to my local to watch. I am well known as a Palace fan and the derision would have been unbearable. But as has been correctly said, losing 2-0 away to Arse is no disgrace although it could easily have been a 6-0 stuffing.

It's early to start doubting Sam but I felt he was an absolutely correct appointment from Parish, the board and investors. We were lucky to get him as other strugglers must have been sniffing around. The simple fact is that, like Pulis, he was employed to keep us up and that will be the final judgment (or epitaph!).

I wont judge Sam completely yet, but he's already got a few people questioning hist 'style'. He said himself, we should have beaten Watford, when Pards said that he got slated (not a Pardew advocate but double standards?)

On to Swans. If we don't win that, then we know Parish has made the worst decision since taking over at the club....

You're not coming across as a very patient chap.
I'm no Big Sam lover but he's inherited a squad with no decent left back, 1 decent striker and a number of injuries.
People are questioning his style. Really? Already?
If he doesn't beat Swansea it's Parish's worst decision ever?

If I had a big red button with "Serious Wally Alert" written on it I'd be seriously tempted to press it.

Allardyce is also trying to change and improve the defensive shape of the team, necessarily, which in the short term will cause more uncertainty until the team gets used to it, which will take a few matches. We are (deservedly) 4th from bottom. We all have to take a deep breath and support the new manager, and not winge on. If we are still 4th from bottom at the end of the season, job done. The whole club is in a relegation fight for its life, and we had all better believe it!

Perhaps, I was still enraged at the manor of the defeat, looking back I was been very drastic there, apologies! Although, I will support myself in saying the pressure is seriously on if no 3 points tonight. 2 from 9 against two winnable teams is Pardew-esc...

Not winding any body up ! ...........apart from you apparently. I am just as entitled to my opinion as you are. I was at the game we were truly terrible and I personally think Sam is a very, very BAD appointment for the club and for football.

His managerial record is pretty good though, now I don't like the guy and he seems very dodgy and corrupt, but also hasn't been banned or censured yet by the authorities or the FA, FL or PL.

He's the guy we have, and no matter what, we're stuck with. The board won't be replacing him without either some kind of tragedy or the FA banning him.

I quite liked Pardew, but I can definitely see why the board finally got rid of him. They gave him every chance and he failed to resolve problems. And I understand why the board went for 'a safe pair of hands' with the priority being 'staying up'

Personally, I'd have preferred someone else, but then I don't have millions of pounds invested in the club.

Realistically, whether we like SA or not, whether he's good for the club, its image or football, we're stuck with him.

And I think we should all probably be hoping that the FA do not take further action against him over the England Job fiasco, because then we could be proper f**ked!

Indeed, if we take three points from Swansea, then it was worth it. If we take a point, then maybe its forgivable as a gamble, that whilst it didn't pay off, didn't really cost us either. If we lose, then its a gambit that failed.

Of course that's no compensation if you paid to watch the Arsenal game, but then we were never very likely to win, and pretty much guaranteed to be 'playing for the point' and trying to stay in the game, and maybe nick something.

Of course they were excellent, and an example of what a difference the champions league and big money can make - when you consider they had subs that we couldn't even attract to sign for us (let alone afford or pay the wages of).
