Lots of OTT w*anking about that goal from Giroud. A ruddy fluke IMHO. "A certain romanticism about it coming off the bar". WTF? Obviously there was an element of fortune in that goal but that's true of any stunning goal. Its a sign of why he is a great striker that he could fashion a chance from that kind of ball and get it on target. He clearly meant it and sure it could have gone anywhere but it didn't it went exactly where it needed to go. Every goal has an element of fortune. He missed a sitter five minutes before hand. But the truth is that he went for it, and it went where he intended it to go when most players wouldn't even have tried something or even made the connection. Stunning goa! By a very good striker who fashioned an almost impossible chance.

I suppose you score goals like that every Sunday. Feel free to post the footage. Flukes do not happen "every Sunday". HTH.
