Somehow I think that he won't come off the park claiming to have conceded because he "couldn't get a message onto the pitch that we wanted" or any similar keech.

Haha I'd forgotten that chestnut!

I thought he was trying to manage our expectations. He said it was going to be hard buying in Jan window, and he was hoping to bring a few in. He made no promises. He has a tough job ahead of him. I'm sure he is the best man available for the job. I just hope people don't get on his back if things don't go to plan. He is going to need our support. He has inherited a mess. Half team injured, and we are not an attractive club to come to at the moment.

Inspires confidence in me, so different from Pardew's
pathetic excuses

If he is managing expectation thats good and I think he will find like Alan P that he never gets to play his best team as Palace have the most players out injured at any one time in the PL altho Sunderland may have even more now.

If he is able to get to the root of this he will be a great success.

Really it seems like forays into the transfer market just add to the problem who needs more on the bench.

Defoe is 34. He can't have that many seasons left at this level, unless he changes his name to Zlatan or something.

Anyway even if their best players were desparate to leave the Stadium of Sh!te, surely they'd be bonkers to let them come to us?
