True, of course, that he wasn't great but I honestly think we would have choked under Freedman. Holloway got the job done and deserves his place in Palace history.

This.

We should have finished top two that season. The team were on fire, but after hammering Ipswich at home and with his influence we got steadily worse.

I was happy with his appointment but surprised to hear many of the Blackpool fans weren't too sorry to see him go, put it down to sour grapes ala Bristol City fans slagging Bolasie, but in fairness everything they said was right. He isn't a very good manager, just like us and Millwall fans went on to find out. Seems like a nice fella though and wish it would work out for him.

He is talking of needing to spend in January, which means if QPR keep him until then they can look forward to about 25 more average players on their books very soon, mostly attacking players.

Partially agree, although he did the business in the playoffs.

Also, thanks to admitting that he couldn't hack it in the Prem quite early on, we're still here.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

He brought in Kevin Phillips and that probably made the difference. At least he could take a proper penalty!

But, he still managed to get Blackpool and Palace promoted to the biggest league in the world.

I think the Ipswich 5-0 was his first game in charge, pretty sure it was.

Not been a good start for Holloway at QPR.
He won his first game then has lost 6 on the bounce.

It was his first game in charge, but if you will recall he had only just arrived and admitted he had little or no influence on the team, that was my point. Once he started to it got worse.

I'm not at all surprised you rated him.

Garbage manager, he'll be sacked by the end of January.
