Surely that means Anzhi Makhachkala could sell us M'Vila even though in their association there were no open window, as long as the window in England were open?

Or am I having a senior moment here?

(It is f****** stupid though because if the Russian club wanted to replace the player it could hardly complete an inbound transfer in time to then sanction a transfer out to England before the English window closed. The whole thing is nuts.)
