Certainly not in the drinking stakes....but there are similarities in today's team and the one that we had under Burley. Good to watch when in possession and capable of scoring goals. But a lightweight midfield that offers little protection to a brittle back four. A New Years Day defeat in an away London derby could see another similarity....

In the first half with Flamini, I thought we looked more solid and that seemed to bring a much better performance from Cabaye as well. Reading Steve Parish's programme notes he seemed to be accepting that the current run of games was not going to yield much. However, I think the Watford and Swansea games will be crucial as they are the best opportunities to pick up points, and more importantly, show defensive improvement.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I guess he's kind of similar but without the regular 3-0 beatings. Pardew has a much. much stronger team to work with so he should be doing a lot better.
