The Gung-Ho merchants of the Premiership.

Great entertainment for the neutrals.

No defence to speak of.

Exactly 6 years ago on Dec. 11th. Blackpool
were 9th in Prem. Even those with short
memories know where they finished.

I think our season could well be based on recruitments in Jan. Presently we have 5 defenders rotating with Kelly being switched. We need to get better than that and hope that they can improve our defence, certainly by April. In the past we have skimped in Jan, last season particularly. Also there is no real excuses as it is clear where we are weak and at what present level we are there. Hopefully this will push us further ahead of the teams around us because at the moment we are no better than the likes of Swansea, Hull, Boro, West Ham etc.

People seem to come from all over the country to pleasure themselves in our rubbish amusement arcade! Maybe.

Agree 100 (plus Phil Barbers 10) % that our season will be decided as to what replacements come in January? We need at least 3 new defenders, a defensive midfielder and a back up forward. Perhaps even a new wide man to replace / push Townsend to perform? Only then will we have a squad to push us up to that mid table position?

We probably do need all of those, but the chances of achieving a haul like that in the madhouse that is the January window are slim to none. And don't forget the manager said recently that all we need is a LB, although even he'd probably add striker to that since the CW injury.

Would have thought with his experience of being a Premiership Manager for 300 games and of course, 2 years
our manager, that 'transistional' Pards would know precisely what we need to do in the window.
Question. Is he the right man to be trusted to spend vast sums next month or is it time for a new pair of eyes, particularly in view of 6 wins in 33 games this year??
Look certain to lose the next 2 very difficult fixtures which could see us drop into the bottom three and any point at Watford would be a good result ending the year on a disastrous note.
How much longer will the investors be prepared to tolerate Pardew excuses??
