Hambo posted something on his Facebook which is very similar to what I'm about to say so let me credit him immediately. It took me a lot to lose patience with Pards. Saturday was great and I'm sure i'm not alone in thinking that after the third goal went in, the huge roar of joy was easily matched by a collective sigh of relief. If our season now turns on that win then brilliant. But having taken a long time to finally turn on Pards I need more than one win to declare him the messiah. Remember that after the trip to Hull we have matches against United, Chelsea and Arsenal and then a potential banana peel against Bolton to negotiate. I hope I will be putting my hand up and apologising to Pards for my lack of belief. How much longer will his supporters believe in him if we go out?

..going out first round wouldn't bother me and finishing just above relegation the same, but this team and Pardew are too good for that to happen.

Hambo and all of the HOL radio team had lost it with Pardew after Swansea and Hambo is one of the more patient people and supporters. I've only just started listening again seeing as we're at a critical stage of will it won't it work.

But we are talking about someone (Hambo) who goes to nearly every match up and down the country, not watching it on a 6'' by 6'' image with pop ups blocking their view, all too happy to accept us lose every week for 3 months and start the same again this season. It is not just that but a repeat of selections and errors and poor planning, no backing up of each other. It is no wonder people have the hump.

People say oh the errors are basic fundamental parts of the game so we can correct them. If they are so basic then why do we repeat them week in week out and why are the same people not doing what's required or being put in or being exposed in the same situations over and over again? Bad luck is when the unexpected happens, not when we're not surprised by it any more.

I'd like to see us stay clear of the drop all season every season and that would mean Pardew being manager for not only 5 years but until Parish lets his silky blonde hair go naturally grey. But do I think that'll happen with Pardew being found out after 2 or 3 positive games and being out witted by his opponent in the next 2,3,4,5 or however many?
