So much better and effective when Cabaye doesn't play. Thought he was outstanding today.

As was Zaha. Never seen him work so hard.

Disagree. I thought he was a weak link in the first half, but he turned it on in the second half and showed great vision for our 3rd goal.

He did put in his fair share of chasing down when he was the furthest forward midfield player too.....OK, so he did play well overall :-)

Macca was everywhere though and I thought he was our midfield boss today.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

Cabaye is the problem. Mr P made a big mistake when he turned up and told everyone that if they wanted the same £80K a week as Cabaye they would have to do as well as him. I would imagine that the person who cuts the oranges at half time considered asking for £80k a week based his performances for Palace so far.
This is the same as in any workplace if the Boss introduces a favourite over everyone else and they turn out to be an average Joe.
I think the team spirit is better when Cabaye does not play as the other team players do not feel that they have to defer to him and try and play through him and watch him generally try to run things and usually fail miserably.

It will be great for Palace if his performances ever reach the level of his wages and hype.

Ledley's the man to calm things down - hope he can hang onto his place in the team.

Cabaye is horribly overrated and overpaid. He breaks up play fairly well from time to time but isn't the creative player he often gets credit for and i don't think, obviously, that we missed him that much today. He often just f***s up set pieces and gets in everyones way as you've said

punch i thought was class today, helping out defensively and putting pressure on everyone. Managed to keep the ball in some tough spots where i was certain he was going to loose it. Got to love him

Yes you have to say the Puncheon played well and Ledley just got on with it without causing any dramas. Didn't miss Cabaye at all.

Agree Puncheon and Ledley were both superb - Hopefully they will be picked to start against Hull leaving Cabaye on the bench.

Just one thing missing from Punch's game. Goals, for a number 10 he has an abysmal strike rate. We have a top class goalscorer now but he needs to knock in 7 or 8 per season to back him up.
