I watched a behind the scenes documentary on an Etihad flight a little while ago, and they were interviewing the kit man. It was filmed after Pellegrini had taken over and they asked him about the new manager, and the kit man was full of praise about how he knew everyone's name and was polite to all the staff "unlike the last one," in reference to Manicini.

I certainly don't want somebody coming in who will marginalise the non coaching, hard working people at the club. If anyone wants to have a go at Danny Young, they can have a go at me too !

That's quite interesting. It's easy to look at a track record and say "I'll have some of that" but the right fit is important and it sounds from this like we'd be getting a Murinho clone. Chelsea were quite lucky to get out of that without serious damage.

I can't help thinking that if Allardyce were their man the Board woul've done it by now for fear of losing him.

Mancini was a great player, and has a good record as manager at some top, high spending clubs, however they are plenty of rumours about his toxic personality. If he came to Palace he would be slumming it, and no doubt as a concession would expect to be in total control. No, no and no from me.

Fat Sam is the perfect candidate. If we miss the opportunity to get him then Parish has lost the plot IMHO. There are literally NO realistic and even remotely comparable candidates out there.

Yes, no quotes to verify. Lazy journalism, probably got the idea from HOL.
