We could be the old chestnut bottom at Christmas unlikely to survive but it has been done so let's get a left back in Jan and keep our fingers crossed.

How much trouble are we in?
Well, on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is no trouble and 10 is deep in the brown stuff, I reckon we are somewhere between 11 and 12!!

Not as much as people make out. It's not even mid season yet, so plenty of time to sort out, but needs to start now!

We are not in trouble yet. Just having the second half of last year out of the way first this season!

But seriously it will cause major problems attracting decent quality players in January if we don't show some improvement starting this weekend!

We don't want another wacky loan arrangement gamble like the Adebayor deal for a players at the end of the next transfer window because there's no other possible options left open to us.

I accept we had an abject run in the second half of last season and we have now lost 6 on the bounce and our record in 2016 is abysmal.

That said, we are not in the relegation places and cut adrift and whilst we have defensive frailties we are scoring plenty of goals. We are only a 1/3 of the way through the season and of course the 'Transfer Window' opens in just over a month.

We simply HAVE to arrest the slide and the 'Board' have to decide whether they still have faith in Pardew to do so or whether a change is necessary with all that entails.

Should he be given the Southampton game and see if we can eek out a win which will be a huge fillip ?
Or if we lose which will make it 7 on 'The bounce' will this be the 'Final straw' or will the 'Status Quo' be maintained to the Hull game ?
Will any new manager want to take over after Hull with games against Chelsea and Man Utd to follow ?

I am just asking questions to stimulate debate !

We have shipped 26 goals in 13 games which if it (God forbid) were to continue at that rate would mean letting in 76 goals by the end of the season.
Injuries aside we look like a team that does not know what to do or how to get out of the trouble we are in.
As per the Cup Final - on Saturday when we went 4-3 up did you see AP calling Dann over or Cabye etc and getting a new game plan out there.
WE MUST NOT LOSE springs to mind - DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO MAKE THIS WIN STICK - some words of encouragement and get men behind the ball, man mark.
I didn't see anything except another "we've scored a goal" celebration.
I accept that players like Benteke do not look interested but he is being blamed for everything bad on the field now.
Why are Centre Forwards marking their players - leave him somewhere else - HE IS NOT A DEFENDER!!!!!!!
So much wrong I am afraid and we are in deep, deep do-do right now!
I don't want Allardyce but I bet he would keep us up - I do not have the same faith in our current Manager.

If we lose the next two games, we're as they say 'proper f**ked'.

We need 7 points realistically from the games from Burnley to Watford. Optimistically the best we could really hope for now is 9 points.

Lose against Southampton, Hull or Watford, and the only hope then is to get points from Utd (maybe) or Chelsea (not a chance), provided he isn't gone before then for losing at Southampton or Hull.

I'd say he probably needs to win both the Southampton and Hull game, to realistically restore confidence.

Quite, if we'd done amazing in the previous six, and then lost six, it'd be different. Except we didn't, we've been consistently bad and arguably worse than we were throughout 2016 last season.

The longer we stick with Pardew the bigger the trouble we are in will become.

I felt I had to write something today, I hardly ever post on here, my late father first took me to palace when I was about 6 yrs old, he wasn't the biggest palace fan in the world, but could see how much I've enjoyed it, as some people say I've been on the so called palace roller coaster ever since, been through every emotion that OUR great club can put you through, I've cried, laughed, shouted & every other emotion that you can think off. But events in South America in the last 24 hours have really put things in prospective!
Before I found out about the terrible news today, I was going through one of the normal emotional of the week that palace have put me in on many a time, especially the last 6 weeks, no prizes for guessing ANGER!
But I'll be there Saturday as usual, even after saying to my son at 16-50 last Saturday never again (me my son & 2 nephews season ticket holders for many years) I've been going up the palace for 46 yrs now, & one thing I've learnt is that 99 times out of 100, a negative reaction will only produce a negative result, I'm not asking everyone to cheer & scream with happiness during & before the game, but we are part of this club/family & we need to get behind the players/staff (Pardew included) they need that amazing atmosphere that we can produce more now than ever.
I know they are well payed & probably have a life style most of us can only dream of, but I know for a fact that at the moment there are thousands of family, friends & fans in South America that would give everything to be where we are! We really have to put things into perspective, people will probably say this is easy to say now after what did happen in South America, they are right it is easy to say/write, but I'm lucky enough to still be here & write this down & post it! Bill Shankly once said football is more important than life itself, it's not! Ask the loved ones who have lost their loved ones in South America today!
Get behind YOUR club on Saturday & again put things into prospective!
Sorry if I've gone on too long, but just needed to express my feelings!

Please forgive me, I'm not forgetting the tragic event that happened closer to home that happened a few weeks ago! Thoughts to all those involved!
