The worry is who is the leader at the back ? If nobody is wishing/willing to be then who is getting to grip with the situation and producing at least some organisation ? There seems to be a total lack of this at the moment.

Delaney isn't the best defender but at least he talks. He needs to go back in that defence. Whether it means playing 3 or dropping Tomkins.

It's ridiculous how quiet they are! Something needs to change, whether it be formation, a new defensive coach or overhaul of the manager. We are in free fall and in all honesty I can't see Pardew turning this around. Nobody can say he's not had a chance to rectify this.

With Brighton winning (again) unless we turn this season around we will be dropping as they go up .. the ultimate humiliation

With Murray scoring for them again.

To be honest I thought tompkins was better than Dann today. Thd way Danns played since hes come back, maybe he should be dropped. Might give him a kick up the backside..

That's 17 goals conceded in the last 5 games. That is relegation firm whichever way you look at is. Is AP the nan to turn it around. .....Absolutely not. How anyone can support him now?

I didn't think I'd say this but I think Big Sam might be good for us. I mean with the team we have we'all continue to creat chances and score goals. And yet for sure he'll get a hold of the defence and tighten us up...

Think it's time for change..

With defending like that both teams will be playing in the Championship next season. For them they won't change their manager, for us not so. Pards couldn't turn us around in Jan so what makes anybody think he could do it next Jan which looks even tougher, particularly with an horrendous run in ?

Fat Sam must be the obvious choice, ex defender so would be savvy there, no nonsense kind of manager which might well be needed in our current plight, has worked with teams with a large target man, Carroll at West Ham springs to mind. May not produce the entertaining football like today, great to watch but 0 points but would be a good choice to grind out the required results to keep us in the league.

Conceding 5 goals to the team at the bottom of the league is the last straw.I cannot believe SP will allow this to continue any longer.
And I am so sorry for Connor W. He was really starting to look like the player we knoew he is. Tragic.

Instead off all this expansive football bollocks we need to put someone in front of the back 4 and go back to eking out draws and nicking the odd win. This daft system AP is transitioning needs better defenders and until we've got some we shouldn't play it. Simple really he needs to go back to keeping as many clean sheets as he can which with these defenders means putting more midfield bodies in front of them.

Why did we bring in Flamini? He would have been perfect for that role but i dont think he will ever be up to speed. More poor management from Pardew

If he has any self-respect, Pards should resign now.

If he resigns and you still end up going down this season or next is it ok for us Newcastle fans to say "careful what you wish for", "bet you wish you'd stuck with Pardew" etc? That's what we had to put up with for about 18 months after he finally realised he couldn't turn things around.

Least he got you to a cup final and won the odd derby. We had 1 good league season, lost pretty much every Tyne Wear derby and were out of both domestic cups by the third or 4th round almost every season (normally to lower league opposition)... but apparently we were wrong because "you were 10th".... well Palace were about 10th till just a few weeks ago. Does that erase the last year of terrible form ?? Nope...

That was the two worst defensive displays I have ever seen. All season we have been getting worse not better AP has had enough chances to change it seems either he can not do the job or the players can not play the way he wants, either way he must go and I have supported him up till now.
