I can recommend PC Specialist (www.pcspecialist.com) as well. They make a PC up to order and you don't have to pay for stuff you don't want (you can even drop M****$hite W****$ if you want to use proper software instead). Lead times are a couple of weeks. My new laptop goes like s*** off a shovel.

I have had an ACER for a few years with no issues..

I use an ACER laptop as well which has always been excellent and not given me any problems at all. My mum also bought one about 10 years ago which doesn't really get used much now but still works after all this time.

My particular model, the Aspire V5-571, cost around £700.00 when it came out about four years ago but there will be cheaper options available and I can certainly recommend ACER as a reliable brand.

The previous laptop I had was a Toshiba, which I personally wouldn't choose to buy again.
