Why isn't Friers playing there - that is his specialist position for good ness sake - give him a few games and see how he does Agree with this. From what i have seen of him he is better than Kelly who struggles.

Fair point. I'd also like to see Hennessy given a role up front to utilise his height and for us to buy another midfielder to go in goal and for Old Fella and Willo to be the new management team. Plus as a goalkeeper he can handle the ball in their box and also cure cancer.

I remember King Kenny had a similar build to Sako????? Kelly's issues are lack of pace and mobility together with a weak-ish first touch. Remind you of anyone?[/quote] My first girlfriend

If Kelly is selected at left back Saturday we lose. Sako,Ledley,Puncheon,Friers.etc. Chelsea doing well with wing backs Victor Moses on the right.

Don't worry Kelly is being lined up as our next manager hence his drop in form and Sako wants to be mandanda's no 2 (well he was a bit merde on the wing last time out)!

I muted the idea of Sako as left back in my Facebook sports page on Sunday. I think he is one of the worst EPL players, beaten to that distinction only by Martin Kelly IMO, but that was on his 'winger' displays last season, injury ravaged as it was. When he came on against City he just seemed to fit and, whilst it is a huge long shot, we need to do something radical to try and stem the tide of goals against us. Although Sako only made a cameo appearance he tackled Sterling for the only time in the game AND won the ball AND moved us forward. All very little to hang ones coat on but surely worth a try given our other options are Kelly and 'I do not ever make a tackle' Fryers. Ledley, if and when fit, is an option but he is prone to errors. Yes he does like a tackle but is sometimes over zealous and I can see him being sent off once every five games in a full back role.

Would still go for Ledley! He was easily MOTM vs Serbia and should have no problem adopting to left back position. Besides, with quick Swansea wingers (Routledge, Barrow, Montero), the welsh hero seems more suited. And at the same time put Puncheon in for Townsend...

Ali Dia surely gets the nod? Actually not even our worst premiership player (Wayne Andrews?) Edited by jamiemartin721 (23 Nov 2016 3.49pm)

Who'd play as a defensive midfielder instead of Ledley though?

Sako at LB? A disaster waiting to happen. He'd get turned inside out and likely sent off after 60 mins. Maybe if you're chasing the game with ten mins to go, and as a last roll of the dice, but to start? A ridiculous proposition....
