Free transfers always get paid more because the financial outlay of the deal is far less - it's common sense. We will sell Sako for a few million in the next 6-12 months - that income combined with his contribution on the pitch (he did win us some points last season) mean it's a no brainier of a signing. That's without even factoring in the idea that he could've turned out even better than he has.
Right back fcuking at you !

So you say he was expensive, yet you have no idea what he gets paid(the only financial outlay associated with his signing) - how does that work? Criticising Pardew for low-risk free signings really is clutching at straws. Not criticising him for the signing. Just the fact we have been unable to get him match fit. This is a 32 year old who played 19 games for arsenal last season, is supposed to have a great 'engine' but doesn't seem fit enough to play more than 10 mins as a sub?

His legs are gone. can't get around the pitch anymore. I wonder about that, he did make 19 appearances for the Arse last season, which is quite a lot 'a three legged nag'. That said, it does seem that way. Even last season he looked decent, but now he can't even get on the pitch. Granted I think we all knew he might not have 90 minutes in him. But still...
