Fat Sam, it is now been confirmed, will not be the subject of any Police investigation into corruption, meaning he is free to return to management.
With his not insignificant track record, would be able to keep us in this division, should any change at our helm be required after the next 3 crucial games, including the 6 pointer against Hull on 10/12/16, depending on the results, of course.

He could be at another club by the time of our "6 Pointer" against Hull !

If we're talking about 'on records' I think Pardew would as likely keep us up as Allardyce. Both have good chops at staying in the premiership.

Question is whether Pardew is the problem?

He may not have been guilty of criminal activity but he may have broken FA rules. Unfortunately the FA cannot investigate until after the police finish theirs.

We don't want another Moody / Mackay moment

the dignified don't even enter in the game

As jamie hinted, do we even need him. I,for one, certainly dont want him.

don't want a crooked fella like him at our club. People will soon get sick of the football, as they have at other clubs. Would be a sideways step at best.

Stayin' up or relegated? In 2016 we have 5 wins, 7 draws & 16 losses (Premier League). Manchester City on Saturday add one more loss and then Swansea awaits in Wales. "Transition", "don't give a toss about defending" (or words to that effect), "entertaining football" - I'm not sure about any of this anymore. Scoring two against "amazing Liverpool" (according to manager AP). I'd rather win ugly 1-0 with our backs to the wall for 80% of the game. Just wonder like so many others - how long will the board accept this results?

Allardyce can make pots of money anywhere in the world and clearly has a penchant for doing it. It's very possible we may yet need him (or someone like him) more than he'll need us.

Unfortunately, on current evidence, I don't think Pardew is capable of turning things around and it's now only a matter of time before he'll be shown the door.

Not sure Allardyce would be the Board's first choice but depending on our points situation at the time he can probably deliver. There's far too much at stake to risk dropping a division.

Some 2 years ago,Pardew was regarded by many as our new messiah on his appointment, myself included
Unfortunately,a run of 4 defeats and after the City game, probably 5 defeats in a row, sets up the games against Swansea and Hull as a pivotal moment for the board.A run currently of just 5 wins since last December is plainly unacceptable and change is urgently needed, whether it be to Pardew's transitional game plan or a new manager to start afresh,as we must stay in this division.
