Awful news. Bad enough for all involved but especially poignant for a Palace fan to lose his life. Thoughts with all the families. RIP.

Obviously tragic whoever the poor sods are but gutted to hear it's a young Palace fan. 19 is so young. Whole life ahead of them.

Terrible day for Croydon yesterday.

RIP to those who lost their lives.

"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!"

Is there likely to be a silence before Saturday's match out of respect for those who lost their lives (including the young Palace fan)?

Or would that be confused with Remembrance Sunday?

It is immensely sad.

Just noticed that a call for a tribute has already been made in the General Talk section of the forum.

That's good.

I feel sure the club will respond in an appropriate way.

Maybe a clap on the 7th minute for the 7 victims who died? A silence would be great, but remembrance Sunday would confuse the silences.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

People should be held accountable not TFL . Fining them just means Khan will take the money out of another pot or as in the case of ULEZ invent a new one

Putting anyone in prison doesn't help the victims or stop this happening again. Reading the report it sounds like the design, engineering, signage and lighting were contributing factors. I think we have to assume the driver didn't deliberately crash meaning it's not much of a criminal case. There is certainly negligence - which is noted. I'm presuming all the victims have been/ are being compensated but that may not be in the public domain.
