I hope he sticks two fingers up at England and goes to play for the Ivory Coast. I do recall, but may be wrong, that he had a falling out with ravel Morrison when he was in the England U21s. Is there still a fall out from that? Think Southgate may have been manager at the time. Southgate is known as a strict disciplinarian, Zaha let himself down on a U21 trip. He will never be picked by Southgate, there are a few other players in the same situation. Also he doesn't score enough goals.

Didn't he play for England Ina qualifier so he is stuck playing for England. A damn shame. Even for a neutral he is the sort of exciting player that can get people to give a toss about the national team again.

What did Wilf actually do wrong? From what I've heard about him, he's quite a shy bloke. My friend met him when he was voted Palace fan of the year (or something) and Wilf was young player of the year. he said that Wilf is a man of very few words I also heard that Wilf voluntarily visits schools and does prison visits and other community stuff. So, he fell out with Ravel Morrison in an under 21 game? Good lad! If I was the team manager I would drop ALL the other 9 players, for NOT having a row with the horrible little git. Where is Morrisson now, eh? He's unraveled. I can't believe we slag off our most precious asset like this, just because he isn't a bland all round James Milner. It's like being given a gold bar, then moaning because it's useless at toasting sandwiches. So he lets the odd full back go? Boo hoo! Let's not bring back national service over it!

Wilf is a truly magnificent player, he is ours and we are lucky to have him. I've dropped Lombardo below now, to show my support for him! Cherish him while we can.
Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it.. |

Having watched the England game tonight and witnessed Raheem Sterling not beat a single man all night and fail to go anything meaningful apart from hitting it over from a yard out, I was wondering how on earth Wilf wasn't in that squad. I think Sterling is one of the most overrated players around.

I was going to post to say Sterling is younger and probably has a tad more skill compared to when Wilf was his age. But I'm completely wrong Wilf is two years younger! Shocked me that did, forget just how young he is.
