He won't be sacked. At least not for another 3/4 games. In all likelihood he'll pick up enough points over the next 5 games for him to limp on for a bit. Personally, I see him hanging on till January.

The reason why? At the moment we are still scoring goals. We actually look good at times going forward, especially away from home. 5 goals in 3 games is usually enough to get positive results, we can at least take heart from this if nothing else.

For me, Pardew has at his disposal a top 10 first XI but somehow managing to make it look like 15th would be a respectable position for us to finish in. Right now the squad is better than the manager, much like under Holloway and Warnock, where we underachieved with the squads we had, thus making the proceeding manager to both look like geniuses.

Where pray are these few points coming from. Won't be man city or chelsea. Perhaps United. Seriously if we can't win or draw against them at home he deserves the shove

If he picks up enough points then why would we be disappointed?

I want him gone but I do see us getting at least 1 win from Southampton, Swansea and Hull games, which will probably keep him in the job.

If he does correct things then fair play to him but I suspect there's something lacking, in the quality of coaches or how Pardew wants training done that causes these long winless runs.

Enough points to save himself, not necessarily enough to keep us moving forward as a club or even get to a position where we should with this squad.

So basically you think his good enough not to get sacked and your disappointed because you want him sacked but you know his not bad enough to be sacked ? Makes sense

Agreed. He pick up enough to survive to the next window bring in a couple and give himself more breathing time with 'settling in'. In that time the team will slide into a relegation battle.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

Mediocre won't get him the sack, we might finish 14th, 15th with him, that's not good enough for the squad we have and the money he's spent.

Martinez got the sack at Everton because they could see the squad was far better than what he was getting out of it. Parish has to start thinking the same way about Pardew.

I agree to a certain extent but martinez had a lot better to work with at Everton than what pardew had when he came here. Like I said on another thread the transition is a bit of a cop out but you can understand from pardew's point of view he has had to rebuild our squad and style of play, I think he deserves a season of transition provided we stay up but the excuses stop next year that's when his had enough time and money to say we're gonna give it a good go this year.

And already Evertonians are unhappy with Koeman. As usual they flatter to deceive

1. Pardew deserves a lot of credit for much of what he's done and bringing in the likes of Cabaye and Benteke but he's moved us back in a lot of ways too.

2. Everton had a team that should have competed for Europe and finished 11th, I think we have a top 10 team, we finished 15th last year and in the same position today. Plus for fixtures in 2016 we would be bottom.

3. I could accept some of Pardew's "transition" talk if he's actually brought in players that would substantially change our play style, instead he didn't buy any midfielders other than a panic acquisition of Flamini.
