i heard a strong rumour (mate of a neighbour, of a relative etc) he was our No 1 target. Will have to look elsewhere now.

I'd argue that any team Calvin Andrew cannot play for 12 games for is more likely to score in those 12 games, than at any other time. Never has a striker been so confident in knowing exactly where the keeper was. Still, 2k a week, and 80k transfer fee, he was pretty good value, seeing as he played a vital role in keeping us up (when Alan Lee was injured).

Just under half the goals he's scored in his career he's scored in the last four seasons at Rochdale.... He'd never scored more than 4 in a season before that (Which was the season we bought him from Luton).
