Hello
Does anybody have the programme for this game and if so could you send a screen shot or a list of the team sheet for that evenings game. I am a Palace fan and did attend this game and am from Kingston. The reason I ask is a group on facebook called History of Kingston Upon Thames are doing a feature on their former ground at Richmond Road and this game has been mentioned, most people recall it for Ian Wright scoring his first Palace goal but only a couple of other players have been remembered. From memory I think Richard Shaw, Phil Barber and Ken Docherty played, not sure about Micky Droy or George Wood. So if anyone can help out with the two sides teamsheet it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much

Your first port of call should be the clubs themselves, because they would have it in their archives. Whether they could be bothered to help you, though, is a moot point. Many years ago I wanted an obscure bit of historical information and wrote to the club. I never received a reply, but I then telephoned and finally got what I wanted.

What was the result? I'd have had a value punt on Kingstonians, that's how sh*te we were at the time.
