Despite hostility from the Molineux faithful, Freedman remains a front-runner for the vacant post at Wolves.

If he doesn't get the job, I hope we could have the vision to offer him a temporary part-time role on our coaching staff pending his next managerial position.

Wilf, for one, would doubtless welcome his renewed guidance.

Likewise our academy starlets.

Not heard his name mentioned in relation to the job - heard about Allardyce, Pearson and Lambert.Allardyce from Dudley is a Wolves supporter but has ruled himself out.

I like Dougie, but the problem remains, he has not achieved anything. He was badly advised and just as he was about to make his mark.... he messed up, big time. Of course most of us forgive him, life is too short. Maybe it is time for him to start again by trying to build his reputation and the suggestion of a coaching role is a good one. Wolves would be crazy to take him with his record.

Well look at Southgate's record as a manager and he is now managing England and will possibly be given the job on a permanent basis !

I think he probably needs to rebuild his career down in League 1 or 2

Leaving us was somewhat of a sliding doors moment for him. If he has stuck with us I am certain he would have taken us up automatically and done better in the first half of the following season than Holloway did. Instead he went to Bolton though and ruined his reputation.

No, I think not; I wouldn't want him to be placed in the position of putting his family's lives at risk again
