My view is that we will finish 14/15 this season at best.

My view is that we will finish 14/15 this season at best. So do I. I'd like to go to matches not knowing we're going to lose certain ones and we have to win certain ones because of the certain losses after they've happened 3 or more in a row or before you know the 3 or more in a row are about to happen. It's getting a bit predictable. I should've done an Acca over 7 games. And on the playing side I'd like us to create a bit in most games rather than being bereft of ideas and our striker being isolated for several weeks during the period of good opposition prepared to nullify us having done their homework and us in their pocket. Getting more predictable but I can accept it having seen decades of disappointment in failing to achieve our potential. I'd rather stick than twist for a Pocettino and up with a Magath. That would be the '' horror show '' against the best Liverpool team I've seen in years, would it ? In which we were still very much in the game until their 4th goal ? The only real criticism I have is the defending for the goals they scored from set pieces. exactly. ..Liverpool would've given barca a tough game on sat. losing was no bad thing at all.

Our defence is the problem for sure. We have let goals in badly for most of this season due to the back four making mistakes. I don't believe Tomkins and Dann are a good pairing. Dann is the better of the two and should be playing alongside Delaney. That's until we get a decent centre back to play alongside Dann. Perhaps we should put Tomkins at right back for a few games with Ward at left back. However a new centre and left back is urgently required in the next window. Until then we will struggle with our current defenders. It's no good playing well going forward as we have done in our last two and a half matches and shipping eight goals. Delaney and Dann need to stay as our main pairing in the middle but I do realise Delaney is coming to the end of a great Palace time - One of our best servants in recent times. Do you think that maybe a poor defence is a result of the fact that we're going forward more? Under Pulis we didn't concede many but parked the bus and didn't score many either.

V. worried for this season. We seem to be losing some of the tenacity we showed in the last 3. I agree we do not seem to be seeing the best of the players with any sort of consistency.Punch, Cabaye for a season and now Townsend and possibly Benteke losing form. I am beginning to wonder if it is not just a case of fitness affecting all aspects of the team. I think since Pards came in fitness work has not been the level we achieved under Pulis.
