At least they seem to have stopped spamming this site with their crappy tenuous topics.

Check out our Croydon-based football comedy series 'Road to F.A. Cup'! |

The Advertiser is now a Glocal paper
The disappointed readers are local
What a world. I feel like i'm staring into the abyss. (Then I looked again, and it was just the internet)

The decline started in switch from broadsheet to tabloid. I also remember that after reading there would be more print on your hands than left on the paper so no good for wrapping chips.

I went out of my way to buy one the week after the cup final this year, in order to get some decent coverage to keep in a scrapbook, as the national papers had barely reported on the game, preferring instead to just write about LVG getting the sack despite winning the cup The paper itself was so thin you wouldn't have recognised it from even a few years ago - amazed anyone buys it anymore It did the job for my scrapbook to give me a physical record to look back on in years to come, but there was very little that I couldn't have got online if I'm being honest The front half of the paper is however always reliable for having at least one stabbing story per week
