Arsenal Raid....

Was wondering what people thought about the possibility of raiding Arsenal for Gibbs and Calum Chambers. Both are coming towards the end of their contracts and both will need to find a club that'll offer them first team football at a high level. Now I know we're probably not their first choice but we might be the best club to offer them 1st team football. Contracts are coming up so probably get them for £10M each. Could be a steal? Would give us a young English back line. With the potential of them all playing together for years to come. So what do people think of them? I honestly don't know anything about Gibbs but used to think Chambers was more than decent! Never know, if they settle well they might help us with a future raid for Oxlaid.... Oh and if Sunderland get relegated we should do everything we can to sign Pickford. Awesome goalkeeper, surely he's going to be England's Nr 1. Potential 3 top English targets. Discuss....

So you know nothing about Gibbs but would pay 10 million pounds.Neither would get in our team.

Gibbs is 27 so would be a free if we wait on contract expiry. I rate him.

I wonder about Callum Chambers, has his progress stagnated ? Last time I looked at Middlesborough he was on the subs bench.

Maybe we could get him for a knock down price and let Pards get his mojo back. Sounds like £20M might be over the odds for these two. It's a wonder how they regressed so much. Sounds more like £10m for the pair.

Chambers has been awful whenever I've seen him play since he left Southampton so I'm not sure if he's worth the money. Gibbs would walk into our first team even with Souare fit

Whenever I have seen him play for Arsenal he has been less than impressive, however we should remember that he is really only a young kid, being a mere 21.At Southampton he used to clean Rickie Lambert's boots. Can play at centre-half and in both full-back positions and is comfortable on the ball but in one-on-one situations he sometimes doesn't look set - he likes to put an arm on attackers to slow them down and this is why he sometimes picks up bookings.If he makes a mistake there is seemingly no drop in confidence and still wants to make forward passes.
