Those who were following Palace in the mid-60s might be interested to know that we'll be interviewing Alan Stephenson for next Tuesday's South London Press Action Replay column. Do you have any memories of the former centre-back who left for West ham in March 1968 for what was then (for both clubs) a record £80,000 fee? Cheers, ALAN STEPHENSON'S PALACE LEAGUE RECORD

I think he was playing in the first ever Palace match I saw against Colchester in February 1964. Actually I thought he'd left Palace before 1968 but apparently not. A handy player - a shame we couldn't hang on to him until we hit the heady heights of Division 1 year later.
