Not sure where he fits as we are doing so well.

McCarthur and Ledley sweep up for us and Cabaye can replace Ledley when we need more than just sweeping up in midfield.

Puncheon is having a great run just behind the striker and even if he falls out of form this isn't Remy's position so he's more likely to lose it to Lee than Remy.

Townsend is irreplaceable and so is Benteke.

I could see playing a less traditional right winger in Remy who comes inside a lot and narrows the play so would mean a lot more running for Joel Ward.

He can certainly be more effective than Zaha when he's on one of his off days though. He's either our best player or non-existent.

One word - injuries. Need him back as soon as possible as our squad is still wafer thin. One injured striker and we have one real back up.

Errrr I thought it quite obvious I was implying we definitely need him lol my point was he is a different type of player to Beneteke and also Wickham since you mention him.Remy is about pace he is not a target man in the sense of the other two and while he has the quality to play as a lone striker it would mean changing the way we play to a large extent should he have to play that role.

Yes I was agreeing with you!

Dare I say it, he may well prove to be as good as Christian Benteke. He will need some games under his belt to get up to speed but he's a superb striker.
I would hope that Pards will cycle the front 4 round into 3 positions to keep them sharp and competitive, that's the point I guess.
Great player, does he have a brother?

We need him back soon. We have a pretty tough run of games and Connor Wickham keeps picking up knocks!!!!

"We were expecting him to be back next week to be in and around the training ground"

Shouldn't that be 'are'; 'were' implies something that was, but now isn't, going to happen? And what does 'in and around' mean'; either he's going to be back in training or he isn't? Let's hope it's just badly written or was badly spoken by Pardew.

Remy fit, Wickham injured (again)
At least they keep the treatment table warm for each other!
