Hopefully you’ve all seen Sullay Kaikai consolation goal for Brentford. A cracker.

But I think this week, Luke Croll deserves the plaudits, Luke played the 90 as Exeter took the points at Stevenage. The Echo gave him 8/10 “A return to form for the on-loan Crystal Palace defender, who looked confident and assured in defence, putting in a number of good tackles.”

Hiram Boateng on the bench for Bristol Rovers

Oldham Athletic 0-2 Swindon Town. Freddie Lapado played the full 90, doesn’t sound like the manager was very pleased with anyone’s performance

Keshi Anderson banned of course from the Bolton match

Cheers Mr Parrot.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

What about Ryan Inniss?

I heard he was mustard in the Belmarsh five-a-sides.

Gave away too many penalties - 3 months worth.

I think of all the loanees we have out; Croll and Inniss are the ones we need most to develop. When was the last time we had a home grown CB in the team? Southgate (even though he actually started as a midfielder) and before that??? Who was the guy that Venables pinched for QPR that effectively started the collapse of the team of the 80's?

David Woozley? If you count sweeper in the same bracket then Hayden Mullins as well?

Struggling to think of anyone since who has played first team games?

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Terry Fenwick? We played him at left back as I remember but went on as CB and I think played in world cup semi final?

good conversation on holradio about our loanees

they have got to get into the side and that is really hard to do as we are now a very good team, 'elite players' well the top 18 players or so!

Yep. Effectively they need to be as good as anyone we would buy from the Championship or below that we would expect to improve the squad.

Given that we've now had two Championship players of the year come to us (Ince and the jumped up tart that arrived from Middlesbrough) and fail to claim a place in the team, shows how wide the gulf is to jump and how high the bar is set, (to mix some metaphors).

Thanks very much for these loanee updates btw Parrot. I enjoy reading them.

I think Kaikai should be the one the club should focus its energy on - he has excelled at Leagues 1 and 2 and looks like a decent start in the Championship. He looks like the only one (excluding Luke Dreher) who might make it at Palace. And that's no insult to the others, its just very tough to get near the team now.
