Ward has been living off the reputation he forged in the first premier league season and has never come close to those heights again (for whatever reason). When everyone is fit I would think he is the weakest player in our 11. I agree he's not been at his best recently, but I wouldn't single him out for particular criticism. I worry about Souare - I'm not sure his strengths outweigh his weaknesses. And given his big name reputation and salary, I haven't been that impressed with Cabaye. I'm hoping that a good DM might free him to have more of a creative role.

I shouldn't worry about any more defenders. If we manage to sign all of the forwards and midfielders we have bid on in this window the ball won't be coming back into our half often if at all! We will just play three at the back and hope they don't get too bored!
