never heard of him, or knowingly seen him play. as with every exotic sounding south american player there is a huge risk in signing him, there must be doubts over his ability as most talents from this area cut their teeth in europe from a early age, whereas he is now 26. for every juninho or carlos tevez there is a kleberson or an alfonso alves. i think right now that if we are taking a punt on a unknown brazilian it will be with next season in mind, not to help keep us up this season. with that in mind i feel that money could be better spent across the back 4.

Good points. Might of been a good signing in the summer or end of season but right now defense is surely the priority.
