I've been informed by a relative that Roy Summersby, passed away on Sunday 7th August after a 16 year battle with Alzheimer's. Roy played for Palace between 1958 and 1963 and scored 60 goals, he is succeeded by his wife Betty and son Mark.

Photo of Roy sitting next to Terry Long, August 1962. My older brother has always said Roy was just as important to Palace when we got promoted in 1960/1 as the great Johnny Byrne. They dovetailed together and neither would have been as good without the other alongside.
