totally agree. Mr and bilko have been saying same thing.

we either need this or someone like benteleb so cabaye can play as the attacking midfielder.

Not sure I agree with this, Cabaye looked less than convincing when playing that role last season.

I think you'll be surprised the effect of having a class striker will have. Benteke will such defenders in and create much more space for others who play the cam role. I'm not so sure we would need to buy another creative mid

You have to put things in to perspective. Newcastle spent over fifty million on five players none of whom had played one PL game between them. This league, compared to the overall lower standard week in week out in other leagues, is something that takes time to adjust to - turning up for one game in six or more like some of the Newcastle boys did just does not help!

We are looking at guys around 25 who have years of PL experience. Comparing them to the less than Fabulous Five from Newcastle just does not really make sense.

If we get £25m for Bolasie, i'd take it. Still got Zaha, Saka, Kalkai Chungy and now Andros to compete on the wings.

I can see us still to sell:

Hennessy - £4-5m
Jedinak or Ledley - £3-4m
Campbell - £2m

tbh cant see anyone paying 500k for campbell

Honestly believe we can get £6-7m for Ledley and £8-9m for Hennessey. Campbell goes to highest bidder even if that's a bag of curry chips

Think our most pressing need has been a Striker for the last year,
creativity comes from the mind of the beholder.
So now that we have 2 strong cbs paired pardew should be able to afford to open that creative side (in the right way) and employ Cabaye in that playmaker role.

Don't agree with that, we have those that can score, we just don't have anyone that can provide the goal scorers with the right quality of ball that a striker needs, we could have Ronaldo and Messi up front but they would not get the service the need from our midfield. Wickham is as good a striker as you can find, but all too often he's out of position because he has to go looking for the ball when he should be there in the danger zone waiting for the quality cross.

No it doesn't, it comes from a highly skilled player that has the ability to read a game and to deliver a good quality of ball into the danger area.

It takes skill on both ends the crosser and finisher positionaly. During our run in the last 5 games I thought we did well to cross the ball in. But after watching Iceland last night we need sigurdson! That ball in was incredible just cured it around 2 French players into an unmissable chance.

You also need a player with an equal ability to read the game to be on the other end.

Many decades ago we had such a player in Charlie Cooke and he would deliver any number of passes into the area where a striker should have run into only to find that ours were too stupid to get into the right place expecting a ball to their head or feet instead
