I have it on good authority that after last night’s match between England and Iceland a drugs test, taken by the entire Iceland squad, showed a hugely positive reading for cod-induced steroids. Apparently the adrenal gland of the cod produces a great deal of this substance and because the Icelandic players eat a diet that is 95% cod-based, they were bursting with cod steroids. I should add that cod steroid is much more potent than other sources of the substance and endows near superhuman powers. It looks likely that the entire Iceland team will be banned for life and England reinstated in the competition. Let’s all cheer on England and hope they avoid the fish fingers!

They're just tougher people. Did you notice how our's struggled with shoulder to shoulder challenges? They live tough lives, our's live under the wings of Premiership academies on £20k per week asap to get them under contract. And it doesn't help when your manager is utterly useless and takes the safer options with big club players which result in less blame when it all goes wrong. Sterling? Predicted mistake. Leaving out Townsend? Mistake IMO.

I have it on good authority that Ireland were tested after the France match and the majority were found to have consumed POT-atoes.

I don't think that the problem was the capability of the Icelandic players (most of whom don't live in Iceland which has no professional leagues). Have you tried Chlropazemine?

Leaving out Townsend? Mistake IMO. It's not like Iceland is a third world country mate. Aron Gunnarsson moved to Holland to play for AZ when he was 17, and Gylfi Sigurdsson signed for Reading as an academy player. They aren't part time fishermen who have been roughing it all their lives. They are still well paid professional football players.

This story sounds fishy to me. Am I really the first person to say it on this thread?
